After Bedri Hamza (PDK) and Ardian Gjinit (Aleanca), Lumir Abdixhiku, chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, has also rejected the invitation of the acting president, Albulena Haxhiu, for the consultative meeting on Tuesday. The LDK has said that they have rejected the meeting because they consider that Haxhiu is only one of the deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo. On this subject, they have expressed their openness to meeting with the acting prime minister, Albin Kurti.
The acting president, Albulena Haxhiu, has also been rejected by the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, for the meeting with political parties called for Tuesday.
In a response to KOHA, the LDK announced that it will not participate in the meeting, as they consider that Haxhiu, at this stage, is only one of the deputies of the Kosovo Assembly.
"LDK does not participate in the meeting called by Ms. Haxhiu, as we consider that she is only one of the deputies of the Kosovo Assembly. We are open to talking with the leader of LVV, Mr. Albin Kurti, to unblock the political situation in the country as soon as possible, by offering Kosovo a president," the LDK's response states.
And the former Prime Minister and MP of this party, Avdullah Hoti, has declared that the LDK is ready to contribute to resolving the institutional impasse and electing the country's president.
"I believe that our request was legitimate for a balance of institutions, but facing an unconstitutional blockade of institutions, which is why we have this legislative initiative, we have given up on that request and have shown our willingness to be constructive in finding an appropriate and acceptable solution for the entire political spectrum, at the stage when we come to the discussion of electing the president," Hoti emphasized.
The Presidency has not indicated whether the meeting will be held even after the LDK's refusal.

Civil society criticized PDK for not sticking to its position
The acting president, Albulena Haxhiu, had invited the leaders of political parties or their representatives for a joint meeting on Tuesday at 9:00.
The meeting, as called by Haxhiu, is consultative and is being held in relation to current political and institutional developments and the importance of reaching an agreement on a consensual president, as well as on the formation of other institutions.
The leader of the VV and acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, refused to speak when asked by journalists about recent political developments.
He has chosen to speak only about the Industrial Park project in Lluzhnica, Podujevo.
The issue of the president remains one of the main nodes of the institutional crisis.
Political analyst Mazllum Baraliu believes that the solution should be sought through dialogue between the Vetëvendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo.
According to Baraliu, even after LDK's refusal to participate in Haxhiu's meeting, LVV should continue communication with Lumir Abdixhiku's party, in order to reach an agreement for the election of a consensual president.
"The only solution and the only alternative or resolution remains for the winner of the elections to have contact with the LDK and make a solution... even if it is an agreement only for the president. The others are solvable. The issue of votes for the election of the president, vice-presidents exists, as well as the agreement for voting in packages exists. Likewise, as far as the government is concerned, the numbers exist. The key issue of the impasse is the president," said Baraliu.
