Mbledhja e Komisionit Hetimor Parlamentar për veprimet dhe mosveprimet institucionale lidhur me vrasjen e Arlinda Zekajt dhe trajtimin e dhunës ndaj fëmijëve dhe grave në familje, është mbajtur pa praninë e mediave, pas kërkesës së deputetes së LDK-së, Doarsa Kica-Xhelili.
Para mbylljes së mbledhjes për media, anëtarët e komisionit diskutuan për mosdërgimin e raporteve të kërkuara nga Ministria e Drejtësisë dhe Ministria e Punëve të Brendshme, të cilat kishin nxitur reagime dhe mospajtime mes deputetëve.
Në mbledhjen e parë të këtij komisioni ishte kërkuar që të dorëzoheshin raportet e ministres së Drejtësisë, Donika Gërvalla dhe ministrit të Punëve të Brendshme, Xhelal Sveçla, lidhur me veprimet institucionale në rastin e Arlinda Zekajt. Megjithatë, këto dokumente nuk janë dorëzuar deri në mbledhjen e sotme.
LDK MP, Doarsa Kica-Xhelili, said that the eventual non-cooperation of institutions should be addressed jointly by the members of the committee, emphasizing that official communication should be sufficient to provide the requested documents.
She requested that the continuation of the committee meeting be held behind closed doors to the media, as she also had questions for other committee members.
"I think it's best to address potential non-cooperation together. I'm not very convinced that informal communications can get the job done. I agree that official communication should have been sufficient. We are coming up with an action plan, we are addressing the issues, these reports are among the evidence we have requested, unfortunately they have not been sent to us, but at the stage we are in, we must insist once again that we must surpass ourselves to the point of accepting some failures. As soon as the doors are closed, we can do things well. I also have questions and guesses from other members, which I would like to do without cameras, so that we can reach a point where we can start working without too many words," she said.
PDK MP Eman Rrahmani criticized the lack of requested documents, saying that the prime minister and responsible ministers have an obligation to respond to the investigative commission's requests.
"If we do not find the will to cooperate from the prime minister and the two ministers who are directly responsible for improving this system, then we must take our work very seriously. There is no will, but we must force them because they have an obligation to report and answer any kind of request and question. This makes the work of the commission difficult," said Rrahmani.
He insisted that communication between the commission and institutions be conducted only through official channels, opposing other forms of communication mentioned during the discussion.
"Adnani and the other colleague are declaring other forms of communication, there are no parallel structures in the government, there is official communication and no other communication should occur from this commission. The reason why Arlinda has proven that the state has been responsible and has failed to protect her is precisely because it has respected them and the communication has been official and institutional," said Rrahmani.
On the other hand, Vetëvendosje Movement MP Adnan Rrustemi said that the requested reports will be submitted, while emphasizing that the request for these documents was made at the first meeting, before the commission's work plan had yet been drafted.
"The reports will be brought. When we made the decision in the first meeting, before we had even drafted the work plan and the documents we would request, we made an exception to bring those documents that could serve us for the work plan. I don't have it for the government, we will have other communications where they say 'I didn't receive the invitation'. If you want to politicize it, we will politicize it. We are not justifying why the documents did not arrive," said Rrustemi.
