The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (MPJD), Donika Gërvalla, has congratulated the citizens on the 25th anniversary of Liberation Day, remembering the sacrifice of the people across generations.
Through a video message, Gërvalla said that he expresses his gratitude to the partners and allies of NATO "who came to our side when our extermination was the main goal of an inhumane regime.
The chief diplomat also remembered President Ibrahim Rugova.
"A quarter of a century in freedom. Freedom, which was not given to us, but which we won thanks to the sacrifice of the boys and girls, men and women of Kosovo, thanks to the selfless work of entire generations. While today we remember President Rugova and the civil resistance of the citizens, we bow before the liberation war and all our heroes. We express our gratitude deep for our friends, partners and allies in NATO, who came to our side when our extermination was the main goal of an inhumane regime. Today, the Republic of Kosovo is the state of its citizens, an example of building a just and democratic state, the hope of all its citizens. Congratulations and celebrate today with your loved ones wherever you are", she said.
