Manchester United bought the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo for 15 million euros in the summer.
The transfer fee can be increased to 23 million euros through bondholders' payments.
But, ten days after the transfer from Juventus, United earned 218 million euros from the sale of Ronaldo's shirts, reports "The Guardian".
The 36-year-old Portuguese has signed a contract with the English team until the summer of 2023.
