Large crowds of people have escorted two of the main candidates for mayor of Podujeva to the square of this city, Shpejtimin Bulliq of Vetëvendosje and Ekrem Hysen of the Democratic League of Kosovo, violating the anti-COVID measures.
Bulliqi had posted photos on his Facebook profile on Wednesday evening from the Vetëvendosje rally, where Prime Minister Albin Kurti was also present.
Meanwhile, LDK deputy, Arben Gashi, posted photos from today's LDK rally, where the leader of this party, Lumir Abdixhiku, was also a participant.
According to the measures in force, gatherings of more than 50 people are not allowed in public spaces. While there are photos posted, it is clear that these measures have not been respected.
Bulliqi is also seeking a mandate for the mayor of Podujeva in the elections of October 17, after winning early elections in November 2020, while the LDK led by Hysen wants to return the former stronghold of this party.
