Three suspects in custody for computer fraud

Basic Court Prishtina

By order of the Special Prosecution, the operation was conducted in five locations in three different cities: Pristina, Fushë Kosovë and Ferizaj.

According to the Prosecution, during the implementation of the search warrant in Kosovo, vehicles, mobile phones, computers and other electronic devices that could serve as evidence in criminal proceedings were seized.

The prosecution has announced that the operation in Kosovo was carried out in coordination with German authorities and international partners.

The investigation, according to the announcement, began in 2022, following a complaint from a German couple, who invested their savings through an online platform, but failed to withdraw their profits.

EUROPOL has also deployed experts to Kosovo and Albania to support digital investigations and the analysis of seized evidence.

According to EUROPOL, the scheme operated through online platforms that appeared to be legitimate and promised huge profits from trading cryptocurrencies, foreign currencies and stocks.
