They have devalued the war to the bottom of the well. They no longer have any reason to be proud of having fought, since they are accepting to be equated with the common cheats and frauds. Instead of the wing of war, they have turned into the wing of shame that extorted everything it could. Or maybe there is still some scheme, some 53-million road; even a power plant with a 19-million withdrawal clause; or even some river in Dukagjin that needs to be covered to draw half a kilowatt of electricity... Boll mâ!
Former Prime Minister Agim Çeku, according to the minutes cited in the indictment, has the problem that "the lists in Dukagjin are inflated the most", and this can be observed. He has proposed a "false justification" to the other members of the Commission in case they are asked about these figures. "If we are asked where the Dukagjin area had 15 soldiers, we as a commission tell you that the KLA did not have all these soldiers lined up in one day, but 45 soldiers were part of the KLA and that the greatest flow of entry and exit was in the area of Dukagjin and that of Pashtrik on the border with Albania", says the indictment that the newspaper obtained from its sources in the Special Prosecutor's Office.
Such a deception perpetrated by a man who is also an educated military man, and who after the war was even the prime minister of this country, is extremely depressing and extremely disgusting. But above all, it is evidence of a fraud of the caliber of organized crime, for which absolutely all members of the State Commission, except for those who have distanced themselves, must face the law. And that all the commanders who signed the applications certifying their content are also part of this fraud, there is no doubt about Haradinaj's almost hysterical and offensive reaction immediately after the revelation of the "fake veteran" scandal.
Haradinaj's nervousness
Hajn i pulav' and pishpirik from Bllaca e Stenkoveci was announced by prosecutor Blakaj from Haradinaj in "Interaktiv". Denying the right of anyone who has been to Bllacë or Stenkovec to assess the authenticity of applications for veterans expresses in the crudest possible form the maxim that has guided this miserable Kosovo since the end of the war: "E nxant' KLA ".

Veterans of fraud
Logic: I fought, so I have the right to do whatever I want; that all the others who have not fought with a rifle in hand have no right to even be afraid; that we owe them forever -- they are what brought us to the point where we are losing what NATO forgave us.
A reaction full of nervousness, denying that in the "Free Zone of Dukagjin" as he called it, there are mostly fake veterans, it is a typical reaction of the farmer, who in the absence of arguments uses verbal violence, warning of physical violence as well. -- that either it is done as I say, or you know what consequences you will face.
I do not believe that anyone would have thought that there would be a prosecutor who would be able to come up with such a shocking finding, and furthermore leave no doubt that the number of "fake veterans" could be even greater than 19.060.
He proved that Haradinaj knew that something not very pleasant for him could come out of this investigation through a letter he sent to the prosecutor, with which he authorized him to access the documentation of the State Commission, but he assigned two conditions: that the investigation should not last more than 30 days (the law foresees two years) and that at the end the prosecutor should submit a comprehensive report on what he had investigated and discovered. So, from the very beginning, he lets him know that he should have control over everything.
Seeing Trashan's mistake later - that is, the direct interference in the work of the judiciary, the day before yesterday he turned to foreign diplomatic missions in Kosovo, falsifying this letter in the English version, which states that "in agreement with the prosecutor Blakaj", this will he had to submit a written report on the 30-day work. This is in order to show that this chief prosecutor is not professional and is subject to political dictates.
Blacaks and stenkovecli
Quite a few people feel insulted whenever Bllaca and Stenkoveci are mentioned -- they were almost seven-star hotels where over 250 people were forced, mostly by force, to find shelter from the systematic violence of the Serbian police and army.
Like one of those who was driven from a foreign house under the threat of mobs, and forced to walk in an endless line of people, again under the threat of mobs, to the train station, and from there, again under the threat of mobs and artillery in Dragodan, to get on the train like an animal -- the only thing I can say is that when this was happening in Pristina, none of these 46 veterans were there to protect the civilian population.
As one of those who spent the days in the field from November 1997 to April 1999, what I can say is that whenever a village in Drenica was shelled, the population would flee to the mountains, and with it , not a few people who days ago had worn the KLA uniform -- with the only difference being that now on the mountain they were dressed as civilians.
As one of those who heard hundreds of harrowing stories and saw the systematic destruction on the ground, I could understand the fear of the population from the actions of the KLA, because the sporadic attacks always resulted in artillery attacks and burning of houses after a day or so. two. And when I told this to a superior at the KLA Central Headquarters in Divjaka, I was accused of drinking macchiato and told that the war is not won without sacrifice. The only thing I could say to this superior was that the war was not won without a background, and the help that some 100 Albanians engaged in international organizations were bringing to the field day by day, was actually survival for the civilian population and for them. Ah yes, I didn't even drink macchiato, but tea at HQ, with him.
It is very unfair to accuse the 800 people who expelled us, because there was no one to protect us, and we had nothing to defend ourselves with. Because we didn't know if we had an army at all, and we didn't even know who led that army. So, KLA has not been perfect, just as we are not all. Those who have fought for ideals really deserve all the respect and honor. This fact makes them more special for the courage shown. And this fact should force them to defend that war without tricks with flesh and soul from fraudsters who take advantage of the fact that it used to be a KLA, and in whose name everything was stolen and usurped. ours. And instead of the real warriors being the first to stand up against this iniquity, these are the first to proclaim the iniquity of chickens and pishpirika.

Security for these statements is provided by the State Prosecutor's Office headed by Aleksandër Lumezi without blushing or turning yellow. The repetition of the existence of a draft indictment (which the law does not recognize) to quote the law when Kadri Veseli should be defended, and whether he could be interrogated or not, clearly shows the intention of the Special Prosecution and the chief prosecutor to drag out this procedure.
The fact that both Lumezi and Millaku say that the indictment does not contain the names of the fake veterans, and is therefore a draft and incomplete indictment, aims at something completely different. If this offense qualifies as "organized crime", the law requires that all of them be judged simultaneously as a group. In practice, this means that if 19.060 names are included in the indictment, all of them must be judged simultaneously. Which court houses 19.060 people? Or what if only one does not come to judgment, why is his head hurting, for example? So, instead of judging the members of the Commission who, knowingly, committed fraud and violated the laws, the intention of the Prosecution is to technically throw this job out of the game, because it may decide that the indictment includes the names of 19.060 people who have cheated.
Now that Blakaj (once highly praised by Lumezi, and then declared unprofessional - which looks like chicken feed to him) has resigned, Lumezi can do whatever he wants with this subject and package it in such a way that this not bring any result in terms of fighting high-level crime. And if Lumezi does this, it gives the EU enough arguments to say that you do not meet the primary condition for liberalization.
According to Blakaj's post on FB, Lumezi scolded him for inviting Veseli to the interview; on the other hand, the head of the Prosecution Council, Isufaj, pressured him not to include Rrustem Berisha and a commander of Dukagjin in the indictment. In the end, it turns out that Besim Beqaj scolded Lumezi about why Blakaj included him in the "Pronto" indictment, while the latter understood his bitterness. What kind of chief prosecutor is this who allows himself to meet with a man who his institution has accused of a crime? Chief prosecutor who listens and takes political instructions -- of course.
The State Prosecutor's Office under the leadership of Lumez has completely failed in the fight against crime. When the scandal broke, "Pronto" immediately came out and said that there is not enough evidence; when the "false veteran" cracked, he justified the delay with a series of untruths and with the announcement of the indictment as a "draft" document. Who knows how many cases are in the prosecutors' drawers that will not see the light of day until the deadline has passed, but will be registered as closed cases.

On Wednesday, several thousand citizens gathered in Pristina to demand the resignation of Lumezi and to demand the vetting of the judiciary. Haradinaj was quick to oppose the vetting ("we did it once, there's no need", he said) while Lumezi was quick to say that he will not resign except because the civil society and some individuals (maybe he is investigating them, it is not known that he likes to scare them that way) they are looking for this.
In fact, citizens' protests, in the absolute absence of action by opportunistic, disorganized, resentful opposition parties, would have to continue and grow enough to insist on the initial demands, and which would have to be expanded also to the other political faces who in the name of the war wing are burying this country alive.
