The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, has canceled his two-day visit to Belgrade, after North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Montenegro closed his airspace.

As Reuters reported on Sunday, Russian authorities have not commented on the cancellation decision, nor on the airspace blockade.

Serbia has so far not imposed sanctions on the Russian state, after the aggression in Ukraine.

Days ago, the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, and the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vučić, agreed that Russia will continue to supply Serbia with natural gas.
