A large gas explosion in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, has left at least three people dead and around 300 others injured.
A truck carrying gas exploded around 23:30 p.m., causing damage to nearby homes, businesses and cars, the BBC writes.
Embakasi police chief Wesley Kimeto said a child was among those killed in the explosion, adding that the death toll could rise.
The Kenya Red Cross said 271 people were taken to hospital while 27 injured were treated at the scene. According to local media, many people sought medical help as a result of the smoke.
