Despite the fact that Lista Serbe has declared that it has abandoned the governing coalition, the departure of the representatives of this political entity from the Government of Kosovo is not final, the officials of the cabinet of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, have stated.
The spokesperson of the Government of Kosovo, Donjeta Gashi, told Radio Free Europe that Prime Minister Haradinaj is continuously contacting the representatives of the Serbian List and has invited them to return to the Government.
"The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is continuing the discussion or communication with the representatives of the Serbian List in the Government. So far there is still nothing official regarding their final departure. Prime Minister Haradinaj has called on them to return to their duties as ministers and other government positions. In the meantime, the work in these ministries is continuing with the other carriers. It means, there is nothing definitive and final regarding the departure of the Serbian List and on the other hand, the Prime Minister and the Government are continuing to have consultations and communications with them, for a return to duties", said Gashi.
On the other hand, the representatives of the Serbian List did not want to comment on whether they are talking with the Government of Kosovo about returning to their duties, nor about the fact that ministers appointed from the ranks of the Serbian List, however, were seen to have continued their work even after the official statement of this entity that they have abandoned the governing coalition.
The deputy of the Serbian List, Igor Simic, said a few days ago that the deputies of the List continue to work from the opposition camp, while the ministers are "only in technical capacities".

The 'fictitious' resignations of the ministers of the Serbian List
Artan Murati, analyst from the Democratic Institute of Kosovo, has assessed that Lista Serbe is engaging in unprincipled political behavior.
As he says, the deputies of this political subject in the Assembly of Kosovo are already sitting in the seats of the opposition, while the ministers from this political subject, according to him, have not resigned from the Government and continue to be part of it.
"Despite the declarations of the Serbian List that they have withdrawn from the coalition, this is not seen to be true in practice, with the very fact that the executive is working with the ministers of the Serbian List. On the other hand, the deputies of the Serbian List in the Assembly have not yet opposed the governing coalition or joined the opposition in initiatives. In fact, this does not represent any guarantee. The deputies of the Serbian List have never been a guarantee that they will support the issues raised by the governing coalition, because, in the end, regardless of whether they are in power or in the opposition, all issues that would conflict with Serbia's policies, they would oppose them", said Murati.
He added that Lista Serbe has boycotted work in the executive branch and the Assembly in order to use the situation politically. Such a thing, according to Murat, is happening again.
"Usually, these actions are undertaken, perhaps to increase the political bargaining for their demands, which very often conflict with the state interests of the Republic of Kosovo, since we know that the Serbian List, to a large extent, follows politics directly from Belgrade or politics which comes directly or is orchestrated by the president of Serbia (Aleksandar Vučić)", emphasized Murati.

Haradinaj expects the Serbian List to return to the Government
However, Lista Serbe has three ministers, one of them also in the position of deputy prime minister, as well as several positions of deputy ministers. In the Assembly of Kosovo, it has 10 deputies.
The decision of the Serbian List to abandon the Government of Kosovo, as the representatives of this political entity have said, was the result of the events of March 26 in northern Mitrovica, in which case the Kosovo Police units arrested the head of the Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, Marko Djuric.
