The Minister of Defense of Kosovo, Ejup Maqedonci, has announced that in September a new competition will be opened for the recruitment of 300 young soldiers in the KSF.
The Macedonian has said that the new soldiers will start basic training in November.
The Macedonian said that the Army is the priority of this government and that during this mandate so far 1931 soldiers and young cadets have been recruited, and 40 more cadets are in the process of being recruited.
"Because the army is a priority of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, within this mandate so far we have recruited 1931 new soldiers and cadets, while forty more cadets are in the recruitment process. But we will not stop there, in September the competition will be opened for the recruitment of three hundred soldiers who will start basic training in November. We promised to increase defense capacities and in this direction, in addition to almost doubling the total number of soldiers, we invested so that the Kosovo army has the most modern weapons systems in its military arsenal. In addition to meeting, we exceeded the number of recruitment and development activities foreseen in the Comprehensive Transition Plan. We are ahead in the implementation of the plan and with a clearer vision than ever for the future of the Kosovo army as part of the great NATO alliance, and guarantor of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo.
