North Mitrovica has joined the Association of Municipalities of Kosovo (AKK). This was done at the extraordinary meeting of the AKK Assembly that was held on Tuesday.
According to the announcement of AKK, the vote for the membership of North Mitrovica in AKK was passed with the votes of all the delegates of the Assembly and came after the request of the Municipality of North Mitrovica, which made a decision in the Assembly of the Municipality to join in the Association.
In the announcement from the 38 municipalities in Kosovo, 34 of them are members of the Association of Municipalities of Kosovo.
"After the membership, the Mayor of the Municipality of North Mitrovica, Erden Atiq, in his speech said that he is happy for this membership, for which he thanked the delegates of the Assembly of the Association and said that they will give their contribution to the challenges and addresses of governance local at the country level", says the announcement of AKK.
