The Serbian List has said that it will not vote for a new mandate for the Kurti Government.
On the day of the constitutive session, which failed due to the lack of support for the mandate verification report, it was reported that MPs from the Serbian List could vote for the Kurti Government.
"Considering the statements coming from Kurti's closest allies, we would like to publicly emphasize that the alleged support from the Serbian List MPs is a pure lie. Maybe it is their wish, insinuation or something else, but we reiterate clearly and publicly that it is untrue," the party said in a statement. "We are absolutely certain that the representatives of the Vetevendosje Movement are aware of this, but the lies they spread serve their internal games, and we therefore publicly reject them."
The constitutive session of the Assembly on Tuesday failed after the first item on the agenda was not passed. The opposition (PDK, LDK, AAK) did not vote for the report of the Commission for Verification of Quorum and Mandates. They claim that it is unconstitutional, claiming that government officials did not offer their resignations in time. While the VV insists that they have respected the procedures.
The Serbian List was not part of the Kurti 2 Government either. The minister from the Serbian community was Nenad Rašić. His party secured one seat in the February 9 elections. The Serbian List took the other 9 reserved for the community. And this party has said that it will "fight for the interests of the Serbian people within the Parliament in Pristina."
The Vetevendosje Movement has accused other parties of certifying the Serbian List for this year's elections.
