In Gjakova, for the second time in 20 days, the candidate for prime minister of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, returned on Friday. At the rally held at the "Shani Nushi" Sports Hall, Kurti spoke about the commitments with which he entered the governing mandate, while criticizing the other opponents in the race.
The next mandate of the Government that the Vetëvendosje Movement's candidate for prime minister, Albin Kurti, has said will be a mandate for railways.
On his return to Gjakova on Friday for an election rally, Kurti mentioned the construction of the Pristina-Durrës railway, the design of new railway lines and the modernization of existing lines.
"We will also design new railway lines connecting Prizren and Ferizaj with Gjilan and Bujanovac, and especially this line 10 from Hani i Elezit to Fushë-Kosovo in Mitrovica and all the way north to Leshak, corner to corner. The connections between Gjakova and Shkodra are ancient and historical... the Pristina-Durres railway with the Gjakova-Shkodra segment will fill the gap and return abundance to Gjakova and Shkodra, to Kosovo and Albania," Kurti said, while with the railway to Bujanovac he emphasized that Kosovo will become "a node that unites Albanians."
While talking about infrastructure investments, he criticized the promises of other parties in the race for the February 9 elections.
"They promised highways to expropriate lands of friends at stratospheric prices, while we will expand the road and build highways that will function like highways, which they talk about but never do, and we do them even when we don't talk about them," Kurti emphasized.

What did Kurti promise for the new governing mandate?
Within the next four years, Kurti has promised the completion of the Pristina-Tetovo road, the Pristina-Gjilan highway to Dheu i Bardhë, the Dollc-Gjakovë, Kijevë-Zahaq and also Duhël-Shtime-Banulla roads.
"We will also build the Dukagjin highway, the expanded road connecting Prizren, Rahovec, Gjakova, Deçan with Peja and Istog," he said.
Among the promises presented, the LVV candidate for prime minister has mentioned the removal of the 10 percent customs tax on vehicles from the European Union and the approval of the draft law on vehicles, which removes the 10-year restriction on imported vehicles.
"With the roads we are building and expanding, we are making connections better and travel more comfortable, but also by removing this 10 percent customs tax for cars from the EU, which we will do in the first months of government, and by getting rid of the Devoll homologation scam, we are making car ownership more affordable," he said.
Kurti also said that in four years of his government, more kindergartens have been built in one municipality than previous governments have built in 17 years in all of Kosovo.
"They have been a government for themselves, they have been a government for their children, they have been a government for their wives and their mothers, but not for the mothers of Kosovo, not for the women of Kosovo, not for the children of Kosovo, as our government is," he emphasized.
Kurti has also mocked the opposing parties regarding their warnings of overthrowing the government, as he said, since the first year of government.
"Dear citizens, come a week, come a month, come a season, come a year, four years have passed and now when they think there are four more, they want to get lost... Now after these elections, when they remember that we have at least another 4 years, they don't know what to do, and when they don't know what to do, they talk irrelevantly, and when they talk irrelevantly, they can do it even more easily than they could have done before," he said.

Kurti has also repeated the statement expressed earlier, that on February 9 there is no election but a referendum. "And in the referendum there are two options: there is the yes option and the no option. By saying yes to our government, yes to the number 118, you say no to the other numbers of those who misgoverned for more than two decades. And these two options are further, on the one hand, your great change that you achieved on February 14, 2021, which was an electoral revolution since one subject, our subject, received over 50 percent of the votes and those who misused it for more than 2 decades, because they governed only themselves out of greed," he said.
From Gjakova, the candidate for prime minister of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, has said that he expects 30 votes. Kurti will continue his electoral activity in the city of Mitrovica on Saturday.
