Kishnica and Gjilani were the next stops of the Vetevendosje Movement's candidate for prime minister, Albin Kurti. In Kishnica, he promised residents new investments, and in Gjilani, he said that he would also equip the army with helicopters.
The terrain through which the Vetëvendosje Movement's candidate for prime minister, Albin Kurti, would pass was not suitable, so intervention was necessary. With shovels and salt, an attempt was made to clear the alley leading to the House of Culture in Kishnica, Graçanica.
Kurti told the residents of this village that the government he led for one term had invested in several areas. He also promised new investments.
"And in the next mandate, we will invest in the stadiums of Kishnica and the health center that covers the three villages of Kishnica, Shushica and Sharkovci," he said.
Kurti said that the party he leads does not just need victory.
"We need an unprecedented, record-breaking, historic victory in the Republic of Kosovo and a liberated Kosovo," he said.
From Kishnica, Kurti continued his journey to Gjilan, where he held the central rally of the day. He spoke to his supporters about investments in health and sports, and especially in the army.
"In addition to purchasing the Javelin system, in addition to purchasing Bayraktar drones, we are also purchasing combat helicopters that will protect Kosovo from every corner from any danger," Kurti said at the rally held in the city gym.
Kurti has spoken about cooperation with the US and EU countries, but has said that it is the army that will protect Kosovo from Serbia. He said that these countries are partners and allies that are now protecting Kosovo from Russia, while for protection from Serbia, he said that "we have our army and commander Bashkim Jashari."
He also made other promises. He said that 8 million euros have been allocated for the Gjilan Hospital, while the most important project for this municipality is the Firaja Dam.
"After this, there will be no more summers without water and difficulties for businesses, farmers and families here," Kurti said.
He once again promised the people of Gjilan the Highway, which he failed to complete during his four-year mandate. But he gave a justification for this.
"We believed that the highway would be completed and we are strongly committed to its completion, but it took longer than we thought, because we saw how badly and how badly it started. Now that we know the problems, we also know what needs to be done, the Gjilan highway will be built," Kurti said.
Kurti has indicated that Gjilan will be among the municipalities in which one of the 20 stadiums planned within the framework of organizing the Mediterranean Games will be built.
Even from the municipality where Vetëvendosje leads the local government, Kurti gave a message to the opposition, saying that not all of them are bad.
"We have been in opposition for a long time, almost 20 years. To be in opposition, you need to have ideals and ideas, and this opposition has neither," Kurti said. "I'm not saying that all those who came before us, each and every one of them, were bad. But those before us, if they weren't bad, were usually lazy and ignorant... They are like those who have flour, eggs, sugar, milk, strawberries and cocoa in front of them and say: what's wrong with eating a cake?"
He also took aim at the prosecution, saying that it is being controlled by its leaders who do not allow the engagement and success of the good prosecutors that Kosovo has.
"They have become political persecutors. They attack the government because they are defending themselves, their evil deeds. On February 9, 500 thousand hearts, when they beat as one, bring not only a new parliament and a new government, but also a new prosecutor's office," Kurti said.
The justice reforms that she said she initiated during her mandate, the candidate for MP, Albulena Haxhiu, pledged that they will be implemented in the mandate after the elections.
According to her, the reforms are aimed at pursuing corrupt officials who have stolen from citizens.
"No one who has profited by breaking the law can hide the wealth they have stolen from the people. It will be confiscated from everyone," Haxhiu said. "Our government is a government that puts the citizen at the center, that is committed to justice and equality, and that leads the country with honor and responsibility."
The Vetëvendosje Movement will continue its campaign on Sunday, with main rallies in Shtime and Ferizaj.
