Kryetarja e Kuvendit të Kosovës, Albulena Haxhiu, ka vizituar të mërkurën familjen e Arlinda Zekajt, e cila u vra në Vitomiricë të Pejës të dielën e kaluar.
Haxhiu expressed support for the work of the Parliamentary Investigative Committee, which was constituted on Monday to investigate institutional actions and inactions related to the murder of Zekaj and the handling of cases of violence against women and children in the family.
She has requested that all officials who will be invited to testify before the committee respond to requests and cooperate in clarifying institutional responsibilities.
Arlinda Zekaj u vra më 26 tetor në Vitomiricë të Pejës, ndërsa i dyshuar për vrasjen është ish-kunati i saj.
Para se të vritej, ajo kishte raportuar dhunën në familje dhe kishte kërkuar mbrojtje nga institucionet përgjegjëse. Madje, disa orë më herët e kishte raportuar ish-bashkëshortin për dhunë, me ç’rasi ai ishte ndaluar për 48 orë.
