Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP, Përparim Gruda, has stated that the MPs of this party will participate in the continuation of the constitutive session tomorrow, with the aim of Kosovo having at least its own legislative institution before September 16, the date when the decision for the former KLA leaders is expected in The Hague.
Gruda said that PDK's participation in the session is a "let-down" due to the importance that, according to him, September 16th has for Kosovo.
"Our participation in the session is due to the event that we have as a venue, namely September 16. We will go tomorrow to constitute the Assembly, so that when the decision is made for the former KLA leaders, Kosovo will at least have an Assembly. Therefore, we will make this concession," Gruda declared on KTV's "Interaktiv".
He announced that PDK will decide after September 16 whether to send the issue of violating the deadlines for the constitution of the Assembly to the Constitutional Court.
"If we are going to send it to the Constitutional Court, we will decide after September 16, because we have eight days to send it," he said.

Gruda criticized the delay in the constitution process, saying that violations of constitutional deadlines should not go without consequences.
"I don't think this violation of constitutional deadlines should be passed over so easily. They can't stay two months outside the institutions and then return without any consequences or clarification," the PDK MP said.
However, he stressed that his party does not want the political and constitutional clash to overlap with September 16, which he described as a historic date for Kosovo.
"We do not want to superimpose the political or constitutional conflict between political forces on the event of September 16, which is historic for Kosovo," Gruda declared.
Gruda also spoke about Bekim Sejdiu's candidacy for president, saying that he had previously estimated that he would not succeed in being elected to this position.

"When the name came up, I told some of my colleagues that Bekim Sejdiu would not become president. I knew that Albin Kurti decided not to become president, he knew that Sejdiu had opposition within the LDK," Gruda concluded.
The constitutive session is expected to continue tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. The agenda includes the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the Assembly.
