Citizens and activists gathered again on Friday in "Skënderbej" Square in Tirana, on the 83rd day of the protest, which began as opposition to the tourist project in Zvërnec and has now transformed into a movement with broader political demands.
After gathering at "Skënderbej" Square, the protesters marched along "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard and stopped in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
They opposed the project and also submitted demands regarding policies for protected areas and strategic investments.
During the rally, citizens raised concerns about the economic situation, immigration, pensions, security, and the functioning of institutions.
In speeches held in front of the Prime Minister's Office, activists declared that they would continue the protests until their demands were met.
The protests initially began as opposition to the construction of a luxury resort in Zvërnec, but over the weeks have turned into protests with political demands, with protesters demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Protesters have also spoken out against the opposition.
