Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi has commemorated the launch of NATO aerial bombardments against Serbian targets 25 years ago.
In a post on the X social network, he said that today Kosovo seeks membership in the most powerful military organization in the world.
"Today we mark the moment when the NATO Alliance stopped the repression and genocide of the Milosevic regime in Serbia. 25 years later, the Republic of Kosovo is a democratic country that seeks membership in the organization, as a realization of our aspiration and orientation," Bislimi wrote.
