Project measures:
The Regional Water Company Prishtina J.S.C. has received financing from KfW Development Bank toward the cost of the “Climate Appropriate Urban Development - Sewage Prishtina (incl. Sewage I/II)“, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for “Procurement of Works for Rehabilitation of the Sewerage and Stormwater Networks”.
Requested services:
The project involves within core urban area of two cities and one village the rehabilitation and new construction of approximately 14 km of sewage pipes using open trench methods. The pipes will range in diameter from DN300 to DN1500, with corrugated polypropylene (PP) and glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) as the chosen materials. Additionally, around 3 km of existing pipes (ranging from DN350 to DN1200) are scheduled for rehabilitation through inlining technology. Further, the scope of work includes the construction of approximately 4 km of stormwater pipes (ranging from DN300 to DN1200) using open trench construction methods. Furthermore, approximately 900 m of existing stormwater pipes (DN800 and DN1500) will be rehabilitated using the inlining technique. The project will also involve the construction of ten combined sewer overflows, complete with mechanical and electrical equipment, and the execution of 14 trenchless crossings beneath main roads and railway lines (DN300 to DN1500).
The contract may include optional works of a similar scope.
The Contract will be ruled by the Banks Harmonized Edition of the Conditions of Contract for Construction prepared and copyrighted by the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), edition 2010.
The Time for Completion of the Works is 1095 calendar days, followed by the Defects Notification Period of 365 calendar days.
Bidding will be conducted by means of the International Competitive Bidding procedure with qualification as specified in the KfW Guidelines for Guidelines for Procurement of Goods, Works and associated Services in Financial Cooperation with Partner Countries (“KfW Guidelines”).
