Is there readiness in the Euro-Atlantic world for the creation of ethnic states in the Balkans?

If anyone is comfortable with the creation of borders on ethnic grounds, no one else is more comfortable than the Albanians, but we do not see that there is a readiness for this in Europe.

We are convinced that playing with borders everywhere is a business with great risks, the best example of this is the recent and distant history of the Balkans. When we, the Albanians, started the liberation war in Kosovo, we did not start it only on the borders of Kosovo, and the first three institutions of our state know this very well. Of course, this was not only their will, that their will is being seen, but it was the centuries-old will and aspiration of our nation. Only in November 1998, in the second ten days, in the few days meeting of the SHP of the KLA, due to the requests of friends (except the USA), we did the entire reorganization of the KLA within the existing borders of Kosovo, in the borders of which its independence was declared on February 17, 2008. This withdrawal was made due to the fact that the borders could not be changed on an ethnic basis. Kosovo had its borders in the framework of Federal Yugoslavia, confirmed in the Constitution of 1974.

I said this to confirm that in the Balkans and in Europe, if it suits someone to create borders on ethnic grounds, it suits no one more than the Albanians who are scattered in many countries of the Balkans, but we do not see that there is readiness for this in Europe. Even this willingness is not seen even by the controversial player of the idea of ​​correcting the borders. In this case, Kosovo is not being protected, nor are the interests of the Albanians in Eastern Kosovo. I am more than convinced of this. But Albanians in general and those of Eastern Kosovo in particular must be convinced of this.

I wrote these few words for three reasons:

First, I feel sorry for all the Albanians of Kosovo who have sacrificed a lot for this freedom that we have achieved.

Secondly, I am sorry for all the efforts of the National Liberation Movement and especially for my comrades of the ideal of these last 50 years who have scattered like cuckoo birds and did not do this for the interest of the motherland.

And thirdly, I am very, very sorry for all the members of the SHP of the KLA (of the expanded headquarters), for the great deviations they made and are making to the ideals of many generations and the generation of the KLA for freedom and the homeland sacrificed the most. Only in the last war, over 13.000 Albanians were sacrificed for Kosovo!

In short, Albanians have no reason to fear ethnic changes in the Balkans. But is this possible? This is another issue which still requires a proper answer and a good rest!
