Hassan Hakimi, the father of Morocco's defender Achraf Hakim, hosted the World Cup semi-final match against France from a hall in Madrid.
France won the match against Morocco, but Hakim's father is proud of the performance of the Moroccan footballers in Qatar.
Hakim was born in Madrid, while he played for Real before moving to Inter. He is currently a PSG player.
"We are proud of our footballers who gave everything to get there and we have to accept the result. It is a great pride for Morocco, for the king of Morocco, for the Moroccan people and for our African and Arab brothers. The winner was France and congratulations to France", Hakim's father said after the semi-final match.
France won 2:0, while they will meet Argentina in the final on Sunday. Morocco will face Croatia for third place on Saturday.
