Liverpool have confirmed that midfielder Thiago Alcantara has tested positive for COVID-19.
He is currently isolated following the necessary instructions, reports KOHA.
"The 29-year-old, who missed Monday's game against Arsenal, has shown minor symptoms of the virus but is in good health and improving. The club has followed and will continue to follow all protocols for COVID-19 and Thiago will continue to remain in self-isolation for the required period," said Liverpool's confirmation.
Alcantara joined Liverpool in the transfer window from Bayern Munich and has only made one appearance, against Chelsea in the Premier League.
