A 78-year-old woman with two previous convictions for bank robbery is facing new charges after allegedly committing another robbery in Missouri, The Guardian reported Monday.
Bonnie Gooch has been jailed after being charged with stealing or attempting to steal from a financial institution in detention last Wednesday in Pleasant Hill.
Gooch was convicted of robbing a bank in California in 1977 and one in the Kansas City suburb of Lee's Summit in 2020. Her probation for the second robbery expired in November 2021.
Court documents filed in Cass County in the latest case said the robbery note called for 13,000 small bills, adding "Thank you and sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."
The woman allegedly told the teller not to count the money and give it to her.
Surveillance video also captured him hitting the counter and telling the clerk to hurry.
