A person has been arrested in the village of Shipol, Mitrovica, on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons and possession of narcotic substances.
According to a Police statement, the arrest was made on Tuesday at around 16:06 p.m., following a raid on the suspect's home.
During the search, it is said that a long gun, 25 bullets, a shell casing, and about 9 grams of suspected marijuana-type narcotic substance were found and seized.
The suspect also stated that there was a hand grenade in an uninhabited house.
Following this information, the police secured the scene, while the Kosovo Police's bomb disposal unit removed the explosive device without any incident.
By decision of the prosecutor, the suspect has been taken into custody, while the case remains under investigation.
