An armed woman is arrested in Pristina

A woman was arrested on Friday in Pristina, for carrying a weapon without a permit and on suspicion of attempted suicide. 

The police have announced that the suspect, who is from the municipality of Viti, in a bad psychological state, in circumstances still unclear, was put in possession of a firearm, then leaving with her car in an unknown direction. 

"Based on the information about her current psychological state and some messages forwarded by the suspect, the same as the weapon she had in her possession, there was a suspicion that she will cause injuries to herself or other people," the announcement states. 

The police managed to identify, locate and arrest the suspect near a shopping center in Pristina, without causing any consequences. 

"Also, during the arrest, the firearm, which the suspect had in her possession, was confiscated from the suspect," the announcement states. 

By order of the prosecutor, the suspect is being interviewed, while the investigation unit is working on the illumination and clarification of all the circumstances of the case.
