Another person was arrested in Peja in connection with subsidy fraud. The police announced that the suspect was arrested on Wednesday and that by the prosecutor's decision he was sent to custody.
"Regarding the case, a Kosovar male suspect has also been identified and arrested. By decision of the prosecutor, after the interview, the suspect was taken into custody", says the 24-hour report of the Kosovo Police.
On December 3, by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office, the Kosovo Police arrested 31 people suspected of fraud with subsidies, 12 of them officials with various positions in the municipalities and regional offices of the Agricultural Development Agency and the regional office of APK.
The action of the Kosovo Police took place in eight municipalities of the country, Pejë, Istog, Ferizaj, Lipjan, Pristina, Kllokot, Vushtrri and Podujevë.
The detained persons are suspected of having committed the criminal offenses of "Taking a bribe", "Misuse of official position or authority", "Giving a bribe", "Fraud with Subsidies", as well as "Forgery of documents".
Also, during the legal time limits, the Special Prosecutor's Office will make a request for the determination of the measure of detention of the persons who were detained by today's action.
