The value of the US dollar and also the Chinese yuan has increased following the news of an agreement between the US and China to reduce tariffs by 115% for 90 days.
The dollar has risen in value against the pound, the euro and the Japanese yen, the BBC reports.
The yuan has also risen against these three major currencies and the dollar itself.
