The Trepça basketball club has started the defense of the Kosovo Supercup trophy with a victory.
On Saturday, Trepca became the first semi-finalist, after defeating Bora with the result 85:76. In the current edition, Bora debuts in the elite of Kosovar basketball.
The fourth quarter was decisive in the triumph of Mitrovica.
Bora won the first two periods 23:22 and 21:19, to go to the break with a three point lead, 44:41.
Trepça then won 20:18 in the fourth quarter and narrowed the lead to one point, 62:61, while in the last ten minutes of the game, it convincingly won with a ten point difference, 24:14.
Trepça continues the good form from the last championship when it won the title after 12 years. He had also triumphed in the Cup, Super Cup and the Unique League.
Sammy Hunter was the standout in the win with double figures of 24 points, 12 rebounds. He also contributed two assists.
Larry Thomas also had a good game with 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Ardarryl Lajuane Clay Jr. was the best on the Bora team with 23 points, six rebounds and seven assists, but not enough to avoid defeat.
The matches of the Kosovo Supercup basketball tournament take place at the "Sezai Surroi" gym in Prizren, which is the host of this edition.
The Super Cup tournament in Prizren ends on September 11.
Tonight from 20:00 the other semi-final between Sigal Prishtina and Vellaznimit will take place.
