Valbon Krasniqi avoided dismissal by resigning from the position of director of SHSKUK

The director of SSHKUK has avoided the measure of dismissal. KOHA reported last week that in a meeting called by the Board with the purpose of imposing this measure, the resignation was given as an alternative to Valbo Krasniqi. And exactly one day before the end of the one-week deadline that was given to him, the decision to resign was announced and approved by the SHSKUK Board

Valbon Krasniqi has resigned on Tuesday from the position of director of the Clinical University Hospital Service of Kosovo (SSHKUK), about 2 years after being appointed to this position. Thus, he has avoided the measure of dismissal from the SHSKUK Board, which was expected on Wednesday.

KOHA reported last week that in a meeting called by the Board with the intention of making the dismissal, Krasniqi was given a week's time to resign as an alternative. And exactly one day before this deadline was completed, the decision to resign was announced and approved by the Board of the SHSKUK.

The reasons for this departure have not been disclosed by the Board.

Not even the current director of SHSKUK, who on Tuesday reported to the Parliamentary Committee for the Supervision of Public Finances, has spoken about them.

In a press release, the Governing Board of SHSKUK thanked Krasniqi for his work and indicated who he appointed acting general director of SHSKUK.

Zejnullahu-Raçi is a gynecology specialist at the Gynecology Clinic at the University Clinical Center (QKUK), and is also a regular assistant at the Faculty of Medicine.

She has never held any leadership position in the institution she was put in charge of.

Valbon Krasniqi was in the position of director since February 2021, while a few months earlier he was appointed acting director after the departure of Basri Sejdi from the same position.

Already the former director of SHSKUK was considered a relative of LDK, this subject in the opposition. During the time that the Government was headed by Avdullah Hoti, he was put in charge of SHSKUK, while there was talk of the possibility that he would become the Minister of Health.

Even the two former directors of this Institution have not finished their mandates. Basri Sejdiu was dismissed a few months before completing his regular mandate, and Curr Gjocaj resigned in 2017.
