The Serbian List sends the Kurti Government to the Constitutional Court

The Serbian List has appealed to the Constitutional Court against the decision of the Assembly of Kosovo in the election of the new Government taken on March 22. The Serbian List was allocated only one minister in the Kurti 2 Government, while it requested two ministers.

The Serbian List, through an announcement on Facebook, has said that it made the complaint on behalf of ten Serbian MPs from its list and the MPs of the Unique Gorani Party.

Lista Serbe has said that according to the Constitution they have two ministries.

"The Serbian List has today submitted a complaint to the Constitutional Court on behalf of ten deputies of the Serbian List and the deputies of the Unique Gorani Party, in order to protect the interests of Serbian citizens. The appeal contests the decision of the Assembly in the election of the Government of Pristina on March 22, 2021, where Serbian citizens were given to administer only one ministry, although according to the Constitution, they are obliged to be allocated two ministries. The Serbian List expects the Constitutional Court to decide in accordance with the constitutional rights to respect the rights of Serbian citizens, but also of other non-majority communities. We point out that the decision to deny Serbs fair representation in central level institutions is against all legal acts. We emphasize that we do not need ministerial positions just for the sake of certain countries, but as a goal to improve the conditions in which our people live in Kosovo and Metohija", says the announcement of the Serbian List.

In fact, the deputies of the Serbian List had warned of a complaint to the Constitutional Court as early as March 22, when the Kurti 2 Government was elected.
