The Commissioner for Enlargement of the European Union, Johannes Hahn, stated that he has offered a solution to the issue of trade between Belgrade and Pristina and that he is waiting for the answer from the presidents of Kosovo and Serbia.
Commissioner Hahn, in an interview for N1 television, said that at the Davos Economic Forum, he talked with Presidents Thaçi and Vucic and that he informed them in detail about his proposal.
"I proposed to coordinate all relevant trade issues related to Serbia and Kosovo. I am ready to lead this conversation and this would be the basis for assuming that it is possible to continue the dialogue mediated by the High Representative, Federtica Mogherini", said Hahn, reports REL.
Commissioner Hahn in this interview also said that Thaçi and Vucic understood his proposal and in the coming days he expects their positive response.
He added that he believed that the problem could be solved and that "the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo can continue until the end of the year".
Serbia is not continuing the dialogue for the normalization of relations with Kosovo until the authorities in Pristina repeal the decision on the 100 percent tariff for Serbian goods.
