With a memorandum of cooperation that was signed between the mayor of Gjilan, Lutfi Haziri, and the mayor of the municipality of Kamenica, Qëndron Kastrati, the branch of the music school in Kamenica was opened.
The municipal officials of Kamenica have assessed the opening of the branch as a success because according to them the students of Kamenica will continue the learning process in their municipality without having to travel to the municipality of Gjilan where the mother school is located.
However, students who will be enrolled in this branch will continue the learning process at the House of Culture located in the city of Kamenica. The municipality has not planned for these students to be placed in any school facility.
The director of education in the municipality of Gjilan, Nazim Gagica, declares that they had opened this branch because there was a request and insistence from the municipal government of Kamenica. He declares that teachers' salaries will be covered by the municipal budget of Gjilan. It says that the registration of students in the Kamenica school branch is still active.

A music school will be opened in Kamenica
"Students did not have the necessary information that the branch will be opened in Kamenica and therefore we have given them an additional deadline for registration and the process has not been completed. Kamenica has asked to open this branch and we have approved their request. They have designated the object that is the house of culture in a space within it", he said.
The director of the music school in Gjilan, Kushtrim Jakupi, declares that providing spaces for students is now the responsibility of the municipality of Kamenica.
"This issue is in the domain of the municipal Directorate of Education in Kamenica. The lesson is planned to take place in the premises of the house of culture", said Jakupi.
The municipal councilors have no information about this planning of the municipality, who accuse the municipality of being reserved in the clarifications related to the education sector.
The municipal councilor from the ranks of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Besa Hoxha-Krasniqi, declares that the students should be placed in a school facility and that they will ask for clarifications as to why the learning process is supposed to be held in the house of culture.

"That parallel school was not formed by an NGO and under normal circumstances they should have been placed in school facilities. I have no information why such a form was intended. As a political subject, we will ask for an answer as to why such a thing is happening in the house of culture and they gave us an explanation and if it is really better, what are the premises that there will be spaces that will be suitable for holding of the learning process", she said.
Koha also contacted the director of education in Kamenica, Mirhane Morina, but she did not respond to the medium's interest.
