The Central Labor Inspectorate has announced that it has stopped work on a facility in Ferizaj, after irregularities were found in the assembly of a crane during the inspection.
The QP has announced that the works have been stopped until the identified deficiencies are eliminated.
"The Central Labor Inspectorate, during an inspection of a construction site in Ferizaj, has found irregularities in the assembly of the crane, posing a serious risk to the safety and health of workers in the workplace. For this reason, the Central Labor Inspectorate has issued a decision to temporarily stop work on this site until all identified deficiencies are eliminated and safe conditions for work are created," the IQP announced.
Last week, a 26-year-old worker lost his life in Pristina and an 18-year-old was injured after a crane fell.
The case had caused a clash between the central and municipal levels over responsibility for the case.
This year, 12 people have lost their lives in the workplace.
