The elected MP of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Hykmete Bajrami, has accused the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, of delaying the process of forming institutions and of continuously pushing the country towards new elections.

Through a post on Facebook, Bajrami said that Kosovo, after three rounds of elections, risks returning to the electoral process again, without managing to create functional and legitimate institutions.

She has ironized the justifications used by the government during this period, first mentioning the statement that "you can't put the cart before the horse", and then the claim that the Assembly cannot be constituted without a political agreement.

According to Bajrami, the argument that the non-constituting of the Assembly is being done to avoid elections is contradictory.

"But if you don't constitute the Assembly, the country still goes to elections. So, what are you trying to avoid?" she wrote.

Bajrami claimed that, during this period, "there is almost no sphere of life in Kosovo that has not degraded."

In her reaction, Bajrami asked several questions to the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, demanding to know what are the reasons that, according to her, are keeping the country in a repeated election cycle.

"What does Albin Kurti want? Why is he constantly pushing the country towards elections? Who does a Kosovo without a functional Assembly and without legitimate institutions serve?" she wrote.

Kurti and Lumir Abdixhiku, the chairman of the party to which Bajrami belongs, held a meeting on Tuesday, after which they expressed their willingness to create institutional stability.

However, they did not mention specific names after the meeting. However, both stated that they discussed the profile and criteria that a proposed presidential candidate must meet.
