The Kosovo Tax Administration will continue its cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo with the aim of maintaining a close partnership, while in addition to dialogue with the private sector, it will also be committed to improving doing business in general.
This was said today during a meeting that the new Director General of ATK had with the leaders and members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo.
The Director General of TAK, Ilir Murtezaj, said that he will strive for good relations with taxpayers, encouraging them to address the issues they face directly to TAK, promising their objective treatment.
He said that the role of TAK is also in improving the environment for doing business and this will be the focus of his work.
Murtezaj said that he will continue close cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce, but also with other representatives of the private sector, while mentioning the issuance of a public clarification decision on the tax treatment of long-term construction contracts, as a step towards overcoming a problem that businesses in the construction sector are facing.
The leaders and members of the American Chamber also pledged a constructive partnership with the Kosovo Tax Administration, considering that this institution, along with Customs, are among the most important institutions in the operation of businesses.
