On Thursday, the Assembly examines the withdrawal of the Trust, the LVV remained opposed

On Thursday, lawmakers will consider the request of 17 citizens to withdraw up to 30 percent of the Trust's pension savings. The head of the Vetevendosje Parliamentary Group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, is against the approval of this request. The head of the deputies of the Democratic Party of Kosovo has requested support from the legislators for the approval of the draft law. He qualified the citizens' initiative as a result of the Government's failure to support the citizens after the increase in inflation

After the three-week break, MPs will return on Wednesday for the start of the spring session. And the day after, they will consider the petition for the withdrawal of up to 30 percent of pension savings, signed by 17 thousand citizens.

The request for the withdrawal of the Trust, at the meeting of the Presidency held on Monday, was set as the first point for consideration in the session on Thursday.

The head of deputies of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Abelard Tahiri, requested the support of the legislators for the passage of the draft law on the Trust in the first reading. He qualified this citizens' initiative as a result of the non-intervention of the Government to support the citizens after the increase in inflation.

"Inflation is so high that it has reached our country, salaries have been devalued and cannot cover the expenses of a policeman's family, a teacher's, a professor's, or a doctor's, and I hope that it will pass to the reading of seen and not rejected", Tahiri emphasized.

The head of the Vetëvendosje parliamentary group, Mimoza Kusari Lila, said that this party does not support the withdrawal of the Trust, as it sees it as a short-term solution.

The two MPs also used the podium to give their views on the dialogue and the establishment of the Association of Serbian Municipalities.

"The issue of the association has been an issue that the position is clear, that the association is not an ethnic one that is supported by our parliamentary group or by the political entity in power. The reason is that we consider that an ethnicity is not a principle on which the state of Kosovo is built and with which the interests of any community are advanced", stated Kusari Lila.

E Tahiri said that the opposition will not interfere in the matter of the Association.

"It is not in the nature of opposition parties to make such proposals, because we are an opposition party that does not lead decisions and we will not receive attributes that do not belong to an opposition party, how can we become part of an agenda that it was not transparent", said Tahiri.

The head of the PDK parliamentary group added that the Government has placed the country in an unfavorable position regarding the dialogue with Serbia. According to him, the Government has failed to push forward the idea of an agreement with mutual recognition at the center.
