The CEC examines the decisions of the Supremes

Today, the Central Election Commission will hold its next meeting, where it is expected to review the decisions of the Supreme Court, these decisions rejecting the decertification of some candidates by the CEC, enabling them to participate in the local elections.

This is what sources of KosovaPress say, according to which the return of Zafir Berisha to the race for mayor of Prizren is part of the review of the Supremes' decisions.

Also, other decisions of the Supreme Court will be examined, regarding the candidates that the CEC has decertified some time ago because they have been convicted by a final verdict in the last three years.

Regarding the decertification of 86 candidates for local elections by the CEC, the Council for the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms has also reacted, saying that this action of the CEC is a flagrant case of discrimination through the use or misuse of the standards of double in the implementation of court decisions, allowing them to be in the national competition and the same eliminating them in the local competition.
