LDK's Tahiri: In 3 months, all villages in Vushtrri will have water

Xhafer Tahiri

The LDK candidate for mayor of Vushtrri, Xhafer Tahiri, has promised that if he gains the trust of the citizens, he will solve the issue of drinking water in the city and villages within three months.

In the show "Elections in Time - Debate for Vushtrri", he said that he had left the project for drinking water throughout the municipality ready while he was mayor from 2017 to 2021.

"We are doing this work for 3 months, because there is no more work. The current mayor has waited 4 years to finally try to release the water and have it as a trophy in the elections, because there is no other project that has been implemented," he said. "The work has been completed. The reservoir in Bequk has been completed. The reservoir in Dumnica has been completed, all that had to be done in these four years is to buy the pumps, fill these reservoirs with water and then supply them."

According to him, during his term as mayor, 75 percent of villages were provided with drinking water.

"Of course we believe we will do it, as we have connected 75 percent of Vushtrri families to the water supply during our mandate. And only the Covid pandemic has affected us not to complete the project 100 percent at the pace we started, for which I apologize to the citizens of Vushtrri. Maybe we should have worked even harder to have drinking water," said Tahiri.

Local elections will be held on October 12.
