Krasniqi meets students in Prizren: With Shaqë, this city is creating opportunities

The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, stayed in Prizren yesterday, where, together with the mayor of this municipality, Shaqir Totaj, they held a rally with the students of Prizren, on which occasion they also remembered the student protests of October 1, 1997.

Krasniqi expressed that students should see themselves as creators of the future for a better Kosovo.

"With Shaqë, this city is open for investments, for cultural projects, for tourism and for opportunities for young people not to see their future abroad, but here. But neither the mayor, nor the government, nor any party can change Kosovo without you. Because if history has taught us anything, it is this: change always starts with the students. Therefore, today, on this historic day, I make a call to you: Just as the generation of '97 came out to give us freedom, come out today to give us the future. Do not be satisfied with little. Do not settle for an ordinary Kosovo. Seek a better Kosovo. And do not see yourselves only as beneficiaries of the future, but as its creators," he said.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Prizren, Shaqir Totaj, who is seeking his next mandate, pledged to increase opportunities in the field of education, with special emphasis on areas related to new technological developments and artificial intelligence.

"Together we will make the city of Prizren a model city, an example, because we have potential, we have energy, we have knowledge. Therefore, we continue together towards new successes," said Totaj.

During the day, Krasniqi and Totaj inaugurated the new football stadium in Gjonaj i Hasit, on the 50th anniversary of the founding of the "Drini i Bardhë" club.
