Lushtaku: Skenderaj will never be with those who brought only division and sanctions to Kosovo

Sami Lushtaku

PDK's candidate for mayor of Skenderaj, Sami Lushtaku, said that "Skenderaj is with the Kosovo Liberation Army and its political heir, the Democratic Party of Kosovo."

He said that Skenderaj will never be with those who "brought Kosovo only discord, international sanctions, and ruptures with allies," alluding to incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the ruling Vetevendosje Movement party.

"Skenderaj is not and will never be with those who, as soon as they came to power, stopped the water supply project in Brus, which would solve the problem of water supply for the city and villages of Skenderaj, and who today shamelessly promise the "Red Feather". Skenderaj will never be with those who did not even send the KSF when the natural disaster of the floods of January 19, 2023 occurred, and did not compensate over 10 million euros in damage to public and private infrastructure. Skenderaj will never be with those who are not remembered for any infrastructure and development project in Kosovo. Skenderaj will never be with those who brought Kosovo only discord, international sanctions and rupture with our international allies, the USA and the EU, with whom Hashim Thaçi and the Kosovo Liberation Army created friendship from the mountains of Kosovo in 1998", Lushtaku wrote on Facebook.

He said that "Skenderaj, as always, says 'no' to demagogues."
Lushtaku held rallies in Polac, Upper Klina, Marië and Makërmali on Sunday.

"Tonight, Polaci, Klina e Epërme, Marina and Makërmali once again said a strong "YES" to the Democratic Party of Kosovo. Thank you to everyone for the great and continuous support. This support is the best proof that our vision for the development of Skenderaj through our development program is finding continuous support in every neighborhood and every village of Skenderaj," Lushtaku wrote.

Kurti was also in Skenderaj on Sunday offering support for LVV's candidate for mayor, Hysni Mehani.

"The other rival candidate of Hysni Mehani is more of a multimillionaire candidate, who is running to rule, not to serve," Kurti said.

Local elections in Kosovo are held on October 12.
