The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, participated in a rally in Dragash on Thursday evening, giving support to the party's mayoral candidate, Shaban Shaban, in the October 12 local elections.
In his speech to the citizens, Krasniqi emphasized that Dragash deserves more and better.
"Therefore, on October 12, the citizens of Dragash have a clear choice: to remain on the same path of failure, or to open a new chapter with the Democratic Party of Kosovo and Shaban Shabani. And this is why today, as the president of PDK, I am proud to say: the alternative for Dragash has a name and surname – Shaban Shabani! He will not close the doors of the municipality, but will open them for every citizen. He will not divide people according to parties, but will unite them for the future. He will not deal with propaganda, but with honest work. With Shaban Shabani, Dragash will have a mayor who knows that power is not a privilege, but a responsibility. A mayor who knows that the citizen is not a spectator, but a partner. A mayor who knows that the future is built with work, honesty and courage", said the president of PDK.
At the end of his speech, Krasniqi called on citizens to vote for change on October 12, saying:
"On October 12, your ballot has a number that represents change: 191. With this number, you vote for PDK. With this number, you vote for Shaban Shaban. With this number, you vote for a more developed Dragash. Because with Shaban Shaban, we will make it 'Better'," he added.
For his part, the candidate for mayor of Dragash/Dragaš, Shaban Shabani, presented his vision for the future of the municipality.
