The Central Election Commission has announced that it has verified the results from the municipal elections held on Sunday.

CEC spokesperson, Valmir Elezi, announced that votes for members of Municipal Assemblies from over 200 polling stations nationwide have been counted.

"The Central Election Commission has announced that so far, the results from the elections for Mayors have been verified, the results of political entities from the elections for Municipal Assemblies, and the votes for members of Municipal Assemblies from over 200 polling stations nationwide have been counted," he said.

"There is no problem with the functioning of the CEC results platform, but, due to poor internet, there are often problems with the transmission of images to the televisions/screens for observers.
