The candidate for mayor of Graçanica from the Albanian Alliance, Leutrim Ajeti, on the show "Elections in Time" spoke about the - as he said - good cooperation he has with the mayor from the Serbian List in this municipality, Ljiljana Shubariq

"We are for cooperating for the good of the citizens. At the end of the day, the citizens do not care how we get along among ourselves. I have cooperated with the mayor, we have never mentioned parties whenever we have talked about the demands of the citizens. From the first day, I have talked and we have agreed with her to work in such a way that the citizens are satisfied. Because at the end of the day, no citizen in the municipality cares about what is being done at the national level, but they care about how the work is being done at the municipal level," declared the Albanian candidate for mayor of Graçanica, Leutrim Ajeti.
Asked if he would cooperate with this party again after the elections, Ajeti said that he would cooperate with anyone if it was for the good of the citizens.
"We must cooperate with every political entity there for the good of the citizen. Without touching on issues of nationalism, we are simply for cooperating for the good of the citizen. I said, at the end of the day, they don't care how we get along among ourselves, they care whether we are regulating their lives, whether we are making their lives easier, that's what they care about," Ajeti said.
He also claimed that even in the campaign, so far, there have been no political overtones from the Serbian List in this municipality, even though there is another candidate for mayor in these local elections.
