The candidate for mayor of Pristina from the Vetëvendosje Movement, Hajrulla Çeku, from the “Artists’ Neighborhood” in Ulpiana, has pledged support for this community. Çeku stressed that he has supported artists even while he was at the head of the Ministry of Culture.
"Many of their initiatives have been supported by the Ministry of Culture, while from October 12 onwards they will also have support from the Municipality. Within the framework of the "Prishtina 2035" platform, we have foreseen dozens of clear measures for the development of art and creative activities in the city, from multi-purpose community spaces in every neighborhood and village, to annual residencies for 30 artists and an emergency fund for their social support," Çeku wrote on Facebook, after a meeting he held in the Ulpiana neighborhood.
