Diaspora with buses to vote for Vetevendosje. That is why!

Guaranteeing participation in economic development

Diaspora continues to be seen as a source of remittances for thousands of families living in Kosovo. But, excluding investment in real estate, most of these remittances end up in consumption. And considering that most of the products are imported, it seems that that money does not circulate in the economy at all, but leaves the economy at the same speed as it enters.

Vetëvendosje, in its program for the development of the economy, has planned to mobilize the financial power of the diaspora, but making sure that they also benefit from the return on investment.

With the Sovereign Fund that Vetëvendosje intends to create, the diaspora will have two investment options: either through the purchase of shares in the fund, through which they become participants in the annual profit that is distributed as dividends, or through the purchase of bonds that will be issued from the Sovereign Fund, which will pay a certain interest, and will be guaranteed by the state.

Abolition of border payment for insurance

Despite the fact that our diaspora contributes about 700 million euros to the country's economy every year, their treatment at the country's border points continues to be our most shameful reflection.

After 20 hours of arduous journey, they are forced to stop at the border of Kosovo and pay the tribute which is taken from them in the name of car insurance. Often for this they wait for hours in the long queues that form.

This tribute has nothing to do with the rationales of the insurance companies and politicians behind these phantom companies, because only 10% of the funds collected go towards paying claims. The fact is that if it weren't for this payment, a number of these companies would have to go bankrupt, because the payment they receive from expats is the only thing that keeps these firms alive.

And it is more than understandable why this payment has not been removed until now. Who cuts the branch on which it stands?!

The Vetëvendosje movement is the one that from the beginning has demanded that this payment be removed, and insists that this should be done from the first days of government.

Provision of Albanian language teachers in the diaspora

In its program, Vetëvendosje also planned to restore the provision of Albanian language teachers in the locations where the diaspora is concentrated, in order that the new generations do not forget their mother tongue.
