The Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel has rejected all complaints filed following the announcement of the final results of the June 7 elections.
In the decisions published today, it is announced that the complaints of two Democratic Party of Kosovo candidates for deputies, Qëndrim Kryeziu and Bekim Haxhiu, regarding the vote recount process, have been rejected. Both, in separate complaints, have requested a full recount of the votes of the PDK candidates. The complaint of the Serbian List was also rejected, as well as two complaints of the Nova Demokratska Stranka. All complaints were for irregularities with votes.
The Serbian List complained that Nenad Rašić's party received a significant share of votes in areas where the Serbian community is not present or is statistically insignificant. In the decision, the ECAP emphasized that the Voters' List does not contain data on ethnic communities. It was clarified that there is no legal basis in Kosovo for these votes to be declared invalid.
All complaints in the ECAP's reasoning were assessed as unfounded.
Now, if the parties do not appeal these decisions to the Supreme Court, for which they have 48 hours, the Central Election Commission (CEC) will be able to certify the results.
