Vjosa Osmani, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo list in the June 7 elections, has said that the Vetëvendosje Movement has no reason to reject her name for another term as president.

In a press conference with LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku, Osmani, who is aiming for another term as president, said that today's result "is just the first step towards resurgence."

"It gives us hope that we are on the right path. And with more work on the ground and close to the citizens, I believe that the LDK will continue to rise again in the months and years to come," she said. "The time for rising again has only just begun. There is nothing stopping it."

In the June 7 elections, the LDK maintained its vote share, but increased in percentage due to a drop in the total number of voters. The LDK is the third party with 18 percent.

The Vetëvendosje Movement is currently winning with over 43 percent of the vote.
