The counting of postal votes is expected to end by midweek.

The counting of postal votes has changed the distribution of seats in the Kosovo Assembly. Their processing has resulted in the Vetëvendosje Movement securing four more seats, reaching 52 seats, while the PDK has lost two, and the LDK and AAK have lost one seat each. The CEC is expected to conclude the counting process this week and certification is expected to take place on July 6.

Nearly 80 percent of postal votes have been counted by the Central Election Commission. 
This process, which is expected to be concluded by mid-week, increased the number of mandates for 
Vetëvendosje Movement from 48 to 52 seats.

The growth of this entity at this stage of the counting has left the Democratic Party without two seats and the Democratic League and Alliance for the Future without one.

According to the summary results published by the CEC, PDK secured 22 seats, LDK 19 and AAK 7.

Eugen Cakolli from Democracy in Action said that according to the current trend, VV could reach up to 53 mandates, but stressed that it is still debatable who will get this mandate.

"The chances are that, at the first moment when the number of mandates changes, the LDK will be the party that initially loses its 19th mandate. However, until the end of the counting of all postal votes, based on the general trend and percentages by municipality, it is slightly more likely that the PDK will ultimately lose its 22nd mandate," Cakolli said.

CEC spokesperson, Valmir Elezi, announced that after the completion of postal votes, conditional votes and those of people with special needs will be counted.

"Of course, after the completion of the counting of all these ballots, the CEC will await the deadline for complaints regarding the administration of the count at the CNR, as the parties have the right to submit complaints within 48 hours of the alleged violation. In the event that there are no complaints, the CEC is ready to proceed with the announcement of the final results," said Elezi.
The CEC will also recount up to 10% of polling stations whose ballots were previously counted at Municipal Counting Centers. 

According to Elezit, this control measure was taken by the CEC to address problems identified in some of the Municipal Counting Centers during the counting of votes of candidates for deputies from the December elections last year and aims to ensure that the counting was conducted accurately.

According to him, the announcement of the results is expected to take place on June 26, while their certification will take place by July 6.
Based on the results so far, 41 women from all political parties have won seats in the Assembly, 5 of which through the gender quota.

In the Vetëvendosje Movement, 18 women candidates have entered the Parliament without the help of a quota.

The quota is expected to provide seats to MPs Eliza Hoxha and Ariana Musliu-Shoshi from the PDK. 
Their entry into the Assembly will leave Bekim Haxhiu and Xhavit Haliti out.

Even in the LDK, all seven women won seats without quotas.

And in the Alliance, only Time Kadrijaj managed to secure a seat without the help of a quota. Albana Bytyqi and Teuta Haxhiu are expected to be in the Assembly through a quota. Their entry will leave out Bekë Berisha and Burim Ramadani. 

The Serbian List will have three female MPs, 1 from KDT, 1 from NDS, and 1 from SDU.
