"I have a problem with the network", Gjini: We will not change our positions, Kurti's path is wrong
The candidate for prime minister from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ardian Gjini, has spoken about this party's position regarding possible support or cooperation with the ruling party after the elections.
Gjini stated that they constantly say that the path of the Vetëvendosje Movement is wrong, so if they are going to support them, it will be like they have lied to the citizens and are supporting the wrong thing. He says that he has a problem with lying.
"The citizen of Kosovo must reduce that power because it is only for himself, not for them. If I say that this path that Kosovo has followed in recent years is wrong in strategic, international, economic and security terms, I should not expect anyone who has any will to continue this path, because then it turns out that I am lying to you tonight, I have a problem with lying. I blush when I know that I lie a little, so I do not lie," said Gjini.
Gjini said on the show "Elections in Time" on KTV that it is hypocritical to speak against the ruling party during the election campaign and immediately after the elections to change your beliefs.
"You have to be very hypocritical to say all these things I'm saying in the campaign and how to end the elections, to ask for four ministers. Zero. First of all, none because I can't make fun of the citizens by showing them that I'm convinced of something and then change my conviction overnight. I can't," Gjini declared on KTV.
Ardian Gjini is the leader of the list and candidate for prime minister from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo in these elections. Gjini has also been elected chairman of AAK.
For many elections, this position has been held by the founder of this party, Ramush Haradinaj. He is running in these elections with the number 11 for MP.
Gjini promises to eliminate payroll tax for businesses that allow women to work from home
The candidate for prime minister from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ardian Gjini, has stated that one of the goals for increasing the workforce, which would impact economic development, is the greater engagement of women in the labor market.
Gjini said that one program that AAK has considered is that businesses that enable women to work from home would be exempt from paying taxes on that salary for three years.
"We want to develop a program according to which the employment of women at home, to do work from home, means a complete exemption for at least three years from payroll tax. If a company makes bags and trains 10 or 15 women to make those bags at home, they will not pay payroll tax. The difference is that we are telling them that you will receive 500 euros every month for your work and I will not give the Kurti Government those 500 euros whenever there is an election," Gjini said on the show "Elections in Time" on KTV.
Regarding businesses, Gjini stated that due to the VAT threshold for micro, small and medium-sized businesses of 30 thousand euros, family businesses are being forced to manipulate the figures because otherwise they would operate with zero profit.
Gjini said that this threshold for business turnover will be increased to 100 thousand euros.
"We have a VAT threshold for businesses, micro, small and medium-sized, of 30 thousand euros. Any family business, of which there are around 100 thousand in Kosovo, is forced to work in the 'black market'. If only 100 euros a day circulate, and their turnover exceeds 30 thousand euros a year, then they have to pay 18% VAT, salary tax and then if you calculate all of this, then you get zero profit. They are forced to manipulate the figures because they do not have the means to keep accounts and deal with the Tax Administration", said Gjini.
The downside of this, he said, is the inability to get a bank loan to buy new machinery if a business wants to grow. According to him, if we just one day increase the threshold to 100 thousand euros, "each of them can send their money to the bank, get a loan, hire another worker and buy another machine."
Regarding the commitment to sustainability with electricity, Gjini reiterated that the construction of the gas-fired power plant is vital, which he stated is being built quickly.
Gjini: We are working to win the elections
The candidate for prime minister from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ardian Gjini, has said that they are engaging as political subjects to win the June 7 elections.
According to Gjin, Kosovo has stagnated in economic development, so they are trying to convince citizens that this is the only way to get the country out of the situation it is in.
"Despite the fact that someone may find this naive when they hear it, I am telling you that we are working to win the elections. Not to win the elections for ourselves because it is not a victory like in sports, tennis or boxing. We are aiming to win the citizens' conviction that the path we are explaining is the only path that will get Kosovo out of the situation it is in," said Gjini on the show "Elections in Time" on KTV.
The AAK leader said that during the election campaign they never instigated a personal fight with the leaders of other political parties with whom they are competing, which has been seen in this election campaign.
Gjini has stated that the state should create the conditions for new businesses and, as right-wingers, they believe that citizens should not become dependent on, as he said, permanent state support.
"We have avoided personal fights with other political leaders, we have avoided them as much as possible, even though in politics there are sometimes 'elbows' and 'thorns'. Again, everywhere we have gone, we have shown what we want to do and we have tried to explain to the citizens that there is no other way and this means economic development," said Gjini.
The AAK candidate for prime minister has said that citizens cannot have better pensions, better salaries, better schools and hospitals "if there is no economic development."
